Super Hex Sector

Super Hex Sector is a copy of a game by Terry Cavanagh, author of the classic VVVVVVV. Playing the game overwhelms everything else, making this an immersive experience where only your skill and quick reflexes mean anything.

The concept of the game is simple: you control a small triangle situated in the center of the screen, and you have to dodge different obstacles that approach you from all sides. You dodge them by jumping around the circle over the hexagon at the center of the screen.

Now, that may sound 'too' simple, but the opposite is true. Surviving for more than thirty seconds is nearly impossible, and getting all the way to sixty seconds is a lofty goal only achieved by a select few. But even though the game is so difficult, it's never frustrating, because you know that succeeding isn't impossible. Not only is it very possible, but you will be able to do it with practice.

Super Hex Sector is an overwhelming, frenetic game with intoxicating visuals and music that is sure to glue you to your screen for hours and hours if you let it. The only downside to this game is that, unlike the game it copies, it has poor production values and isn't well-optimized.
